White Shark Trust - Field Research Assistant - December 2003

The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Darren John HUNNIFORD (Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales) and James KIRBY (London, England).

We also welcome back Chris MILNES (Grantham, Lincolnshire, England)... Chris initially joined our program in September 2003, but stayed with us through mid-November... Well, he is back for more!


Another wonderful day awaited us on Sunday the 28th of December... Great conditions and 11 White Sharks! We were anchored close to Shark Diving Unlimited's cage diving boat, and we got a good show... An ultralight aircraft made some low passes for some documentary probably. Scarface came back with her friend... it was nice to see them again after yesterday!












Monday the 29th of December Who's back? Chris Milnes Chris joined us a few months ago in September through the beginning of November... and well, he just had to come back for more Sharks!

We observed seven different White Sharks today, Monday the 29th... Nice day, but the Sharks just did not want to stay around, nor show us their dorsal fins very nicely... I guess we have been spoiled the last couple of day! Another incredible event today: Tracey joined us on the boat... but it may well be the last time... it took about two seconds before she felt sick... very unfortunate!





	To the contrary of what you may think looking at these photographs, there were in fact quite a large swell... And the Natural Contraceptive Glasses have made yet another victim... James (above) certainly looks his best with those special glasses! A perfect outfit for an evening out...
