The White Shark Trust Field Research Assistantship is proud to introduce you to our assistants:

Edward FARRELL (Dublin, Ireland), Clova JURK (Perth, Scotland), Sarah BAHAN (Idaho, USA), and Barney DUNLOP (Bath, England)

Timo SECKLER (Ellenberg, Germany) has been our assistant since the 15th of July 2005. He assisted with the manual telemetry tracking of White Sharks in Mossel Bay during the month of August.

Andy Brandy CASAGRANDE IV has been our assistant, guest and especially friend since September 2003, and he has been living in Gansbaai and assisting the White Shark Trust during most of 2004 and now again in 2005.

On the 17th and 18th of November, Michael was giving a couple of presentations in Cape Town: at the Barologia Symposium at CTU (not the 24 series, but Cape Town University) on Thursday, and Andy and Michael at the Bishops Diocesan College on Friday. Andy and Sarah came to Cape Town to spend a few days on the West Coast.
'We worked for National Geographics! Yeaah!'

Andy and Michael were invited by Mrs Lyons to give a presentation about Sharks to her class... It was great fun as always talking about Sharks to captivated and enthusiastic children! And of course, we could not wait to tell them that we had just seen Bruce a couple of days ago! And it was the first time for me and Andy to be asked to sign autographs...
On Thursday the 17th of November, Marine Dynamics welcomed Timo and Barney on board Shark Fever. They observed 18 different White Sharks today. Jenna Cains invited Clova and Ed on a roadtrip to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of the African continent, Struisbaai and Arniston in the meanwhile.
On Friday the 18th of November, Clova, Ed, Timo and Barney were invited on board Shark Fever (Marine Dynamics) during my absence in Cape Town. The guys all went into the Shark cage... Clova decided to stay on the boat... I guess someone has to work!
