On Friday the 30th of September, Chris Florescu and Michael Scholl visited Bick Mick at his Tattoo workshop to thank him for the Big Mick Shark Mascot he designed on display at the BlueReef Aquariums in England.
Michael Scholl then discovered Chris Florescu's Chichester village in the South of England. Chichester is a charming village and the people have welcomed us everywhere with a very friendly and generous attitude.
On Friday evening, Chris and his mom Lynn invited Michael for a traditionnal (and delicious) Friday Night Carvery at The Inglenook Restaurant near Chichester.

Chris Florescu organised a great fund-raising party with the generous support of SuperSigns and La Havana Bar in Chichester on Saturday the 1st of October 2005. Chris organised for a DJ friend to come down to Chichester from London, and we gathered raffle prizes the previous two days from the many generous companies in the area.

Polly Crouch (left) and her cousin Alice Clarke (right), both former assistants of the White Shark Trust, also joined the party in Chichester...
The party was also the occasion to thank the SuperSigns team who have been extremely helpful and supportive of our education and conservation effort in the UK.
Chris Florescu presented Michael Scholl with a new check of 169 UK£ from the sales of the White Shark Trust wristbands at the BlueReef Aquarium in Portsmouth.

Thank you very much, Mick, Polly and Alice, for coming all the way to Chichester from London (I now know that Chichester is two hours drive south of London on the south coast of England!)...
During the evening, we sold off raffle tickets for all the prizes we had managed to gather from supportive companies in Chichester. The Bailiffscourt Hotel & Health Spa voucher for two people was auctionned off, and we managed to raise nearly 300 UK£ that evening.

Sunday 2nd of October, Michael Scholl and Chris Florescu were invited to the concert of The Paddingtons at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth. The entire punk-rock music band is now the proud owner of a White Shark Trust wristband. Great concert and a great way to end a successful but too short three-day trip to England!
I would like to thank Chris Florescu for his incredible enthusiasm and zest for life. Chris organised everything for these three days in England, and he is doing an amazing and dearly appreciated job at promoting the White Shark Trust and conducting education and conservation work in the UK. Thank you very much Chris for all you help and kindness! I would also like to thank Lynn, Chris' mom for her warm welcome, and all the people in and around Chichester who have and are helping us!

On the 18th of November 2005, the White Shark Trust was invited to the opening night of The Paddingtons UK tour with the Bravery from New York city. The evening was a huge success with a sell out 2000 crowd, The Paddingtons have just released their debut album (first comes first). The album has received rave reviews from me and other musical reviewers.

Chris was invited as a guest by the paddingtons to the gig in southampton and was very pleased with the support by The Paddingtons towards their support of the White Shark Trust. The Paddingtons are flying off to japan in two weeks time.

The White Shark Trust would like to thank the kind hospitality and support from the band.
